International Corporation

Course Overview

During the first three semesters, students must complete 35 credits from core and elective courses. By the end of the fourth semester, students are required to submit a master’s thesis. This requirement offers students the opportunity to conduct independent research in a field of Chinese philosophy of their own interest, thereby deeply enriching their academic experience of studying Chinese philosophy in China.

Tuition and Scholarship

The tuition fee for MA Program is RMB 60,000 for the two-year program of full-time study.

Students are encouraged to apply for various scholarships, including the Chinese Government Scholarship, Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students. Note that in most cases scholarship applications are due before the program application deadline. Please refer to: https://admission-is.bnu.edu.cn to view specific scholarship categories.

For applications of Chinese Government Scholarships, please refer to the website of the China Scholarship Council (https://www.campuschina.org) or contact the cultural and educational departments of the local Chinese embassy.

In recent years, every student enrolled in the MA Program has received a full scholarship, achieving 100% scholarship coverage.

How to Apply

1. Register for an account at https://international.bnu.edu.cn and sign in. The deadline for applying is March 10th, 2026.

2. Submit all required information as guided.

3. Pay an application fee of 600 RMB (non-refundable) through the payment system on the website.

4. Sit for an online interview (interview notification will be sent via email, and interview results will be shown in the system).

Application Requirements

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens holding a foreign passport and under 50 years old (Date of Birth after August 31, 1976).

2. Applicants should have a degree equivalent to a Bachelor’s or above from an accredited college or university.

3. Language proficiency requirements:

(1) All non-native English speakers must certify that they have passed a recognized English-language proficiency test, preferably TOEFL (90) or IELTS (6/5.5).

(2) Applicants who received their academic degrees from an English language program are not required to provide proof of English proficiency, but must submit relevant documents that support it (e.g., a certificate issued by the graduating institution. )
